To the extent that I actually contemplate extended stay hotels, I think of the higher-end ones as refuges for corporate sorts on months-long assignments. This may be a branding problem, or it may just be me, but when I think of low-budget extended stays, I think “welfare motel.” Sometimes when traveling, though, I really need a bargain, and so I find myself at the Extended Stay America in South Brunswick, N.J. with the Brawny Sherpa and the three youthful adventurers. It is great! I would stay here again. The price is right, the place is clean, the rooms are newly renovated, the front-desk reception is helpful. The parking lot and hallways are well-lit; the elevator works; I have no complaints.
