Who Is the Bashful Adventurer?
Lori Tripoli is the editor and publisher of BashfulAdventurer.com, which covers travel for independent sorts, the shy, and the charmingly reticent. She is fortunate not to be locked in a cubicle between 9 and 5 or forced to commute farther than her home office. When she is not reporting on her adventures here, she is working remotely.
Lori’s travels have taken her to 26 countries and to 34 states in the U.S. (plus the District of Columbia), and she relishes return trips to many of these destinations as well as exploring new places.

I found your website in a notebook at the Historical Society in NYC. So cool!
That’s great! I wrote that in the exhibition on immigrants coming to the United States. It was a very moving installation. And the art becomes the reality . . . I think I have some pictures from my visit there. I’ll try to blog about it soon!
Thanks for visiting.

You have a wonderful photograp on your site of a bronze bear on a rock (“a fierce bear in Russia”). I have never seen the statue or photograph of it and was wondering if you remember what museum/gallery it was in? Thank you, Oly.
Thank you, Oly. The bear I describe in Street Art: Russia is in Yaroslavl. More information about it is available on TripAdvisor.

Is there a way to subscribe to your BashfulAdventurer? I truly enjoy your comments. Oh and where is the African Burial site with the plaque you photographed? Thank you and keep it up!
Thank you, Carrie. The African Burial Ground medallion is located at Foley Square in New York City (Manhattan). More information about it is here: https://www.nycgovparks.org/parks/thomas-paine-park/monuments/1910
There will be a way to subscribe to the Bashful Adventurer in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, thanks for reading! –Lori Tripoli
