  1. I love Key West. To me it falls into the much the same category as San Francisco as a place where colorful characters and extravagant personalities can thrive and restraint is a personal choice. I recall my first trip there when my companion and I stayed at a bed and breakfast that very much fit the Key West vibe. There was nude sunbathing on the roof deck. Our room featured floor to ceiling windows without drapes. On the nightstand beside the bed was a well worn copy of a pop up book — the Kama Sutra. And that was just the beginning.

    • I love San Francisco, too. My favorite place there is the Red Victorian in Haight-Ashbury.
