Where to Stay for the Convenience
On a quick trip to the west coast of Florida for a family wedding, the Brawny Sherpa and I need someplace convenient to stay. For us, that means a hotel with parking that is centrally located and also reasonably priced. Cleanliness and safety also factor in for us, although on those two counts, one can never quite tell until one gets there.
Fortunately, we come across the Naples Park Central, which meets all of our criteria and then some. There is covered parking, a pool, free wifi, a free breakfast. Starbucks is across the street, and Tin City and trendy 5th Avenue are both within an easy walk.
Our room has a kitchenette and, most importantly, is very clean. I have plenty of space to lounge, to store all of my outfits and their accompanying shoes and purses for a weekend full of parties. I have time, while the Brawny Sherpa is away with our rental car on a bit of a golf jaunt, to explore Tin City (where I discover the cheery and fresh-smelling Naples Soap Co.) and enjoy some water views.
One tip: GPS led us to 40 9th Street South when I entered the hotel name as my destination. It’s at 40 9th Street North, an address also known as 40 Tamiami Trail North.
