There is something blissful about sitting beneath the Truck sign in the dining room of the restaurant of the same name in Bedford, N.Y. and looking out the window at the garden where some of my lunch comes from. I am not sure I have ever had any other food that tastes quite so fresh. I am partial to the Mexican salad at lunch along with a glass of unsweetened iced tea with a paper straw.
When You Go
Parking can sometimes be challenging—this is a popular place with a small parking lot. Sometimes, there is valet parking; sometimes, there isn’t. The fewer cars in your party, the better.
Reservations are recommended.
Desserts tend to be well-made versions of childhood (for those of a certain era) classics—in short, worth the indulgence!
